Day 1: Namib Desert Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia, Sossusvlei (257.8km)

Today your self-drive journey starts, you will drive west to the world-famous Namib Desert 210 miles from Mariental. You’ll go see the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei. In the afternoon you will reach your lodge, where you will have to enjoy your dinner.

Day 2: Namib Desert Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia, Sossusvlei

Clients wake up early have breakfast at the very first light of dawn to enjoy the best light during the excursion to the renowned dunes of Sossusvlei. Time available to climb the Sossusvlei dune, for a walk to the exciting Deadvlei, and visit the Sesriem Canyon whose geological conformation reveals many mysteries about the formation and evolution of our Planet Earth.

Day 3: Atlantic Villa, Swakopmund (301.4km)

This morning we depart to the cooler coastal town on our way to Swakopmund we make a visit to the largest colony of seals on the African continent at Cape Cross and the site where Diego Cao landed in 1486. We will spend the next 2 nights in Swakopmund enjoying the various different activities on offer.

Day 4: Taleni Etosha Village, Etosha South (502.4km)

Have breakfast and drive early towards Etosha South Explore Etosha with your own rental vehicle and drive from waterhole to waterhole. The animals are most active during early morning and late afternoon hours. You could book a safari with a guide through the lodge.

Day 5: Taleni Etosha Village, Etosha South

The morning and afternoons you will spend exploring the park always on the lookout for the wild animals of Namibia. The Etosha National Park hosts more than 110 mammals, some of which are elephants, white and black rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, several smaller predators, giraffe, zebra and uncountable antelopes. Furthermore more than 340 different bird species are found here. During the hot midday you can relax in the rest camp or return to your accommodation. A stop at the Pan’s edge is as recommendable as exploring the different waterholes in the area. Especially during the dry season, which is from May to November/December, large herds of game gather at the waterholes to quench their thirst. In the visitor’s books at the restcamp receptions one can sometimes find hints about interesting sightings of rather rare species like leopards and predator kills. Depending on the season one should focus on the central parts of the Etosha National Park around Okaukuejo or the eastern area around Namutoni, as the larger herds and with them the predators move between the areas during the course of the year.

Day 6: Kaisosi River Lodge, Rundu (642.4km)

Clients will get morning Breakfast and depart to Rundu which is Bordering Angola, on the banks of the Okavango River in northern Namibia, the town of Rundu serves as the capital of the eastern Kavango region. Rundu is renowned for its local woodcarvers market and is filled with impressive woodcarvers’ workshops. Guest will go on a trip on traditional mokoro boats in search of hippos and crocodiles.

Day 7: Nunda River Lodge, Divundu (204.6km)

Early Breakfast and then depart to The Okavango River .A visit to the Mahango Game Reserve Park, where, apart from animals, we will see huge baobabs.Today’s episode is not too long and we should be there in the early afternoon. The whole road leads through Caprivi and the area of the Bwabata National Park. The route is decorated with road signs “beware of elephants”. This is the route of the largest population of elephants migrating from Chobe to Zambezi.

Day 8: Shearwater Explorers Village, Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) (524.5km)

You wake up early get breakfast than depart to Victoria Falls crossing the border. It is the largest water Fall in the world Resting on the southern banks of the Zambezi River at the western end of the eponymous falls, this popular tourist town is compact enough to walk around and makes an ideal base for travellers exploring the seventh wonder of the world, it will be a long drive so make sure you get all necessary needs for the road.

Clients will refresh in the morning and have breakfast than depart to Nata, there is plenty of different wildlife around on the unfenced 16000 hectare private conservancy. The campsite and lodge are unfenced; all animals roam freely which means you can expect to see various wildlife.

Day 12: Ghanzi Trail Blazers, Ghanzi (315.3km)

Guests will have early breakfast then depart to Ghanzi, Ghanzi is situated 300 kilometers southwest of Maun and just north of the Trans-Kalahari highway, which runs from Lobatse in Botswana to Walvis Bay in Namibia, the small town of Ghanzi is sometimes referred to as the ‘Capital of the Kalahari’. It serves as the administrative center of the Ghanzi district which covers a vast area of cattle ranches and farmland in the west of Botswana. Ghanzi Trail Blazers caters for visitors who wish to have a genuine glimpse of a fast disappearing unique and ancient culture. It offers a number of activities to interact with the San Bushman, and to discover how they survived in the Kalahari.
